The appeal from the judgment of the Court of Appeal for Saskatchewan, Number 944, 2007 SKCA 48, dated May 2, 2007, heard on February 26, 2008, is allowed. The decision of the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal is set aside, and the acquittal on the murder charge is restored. The conviction on the charge of manslaughter was not appealed and is maintained.
L'appel interjeté contre l'arrêt de la Cour d'appel de la Saskatchewan, numéro 944, 2007 SKCA 48, en date du 2 mai 2007, entendu le 26 février 2008, est accueilli. La décision de la Cour d'appel de la Saskatchewan est annulée et l'acquittement à l'égard de l'accusation de meurtre est rétabli. La déclaration de culpabilité quant à l'accusation d'homicide involontaire coupable n'a pas été portée en appel et est maintenue.
