The appeal by His Majesty The King from the judgment of the Court of Appeal for Ontario, Number COA-22-CR-0470, 2024 ONCA 511, dated June 27, 2024, heard on May 22, 2025, is allowed and the conviction for attempted murder is restored. Wagner C.J. and Karakatsanis and Moreau JJ. dissent.
The appeal by B.F. from the judgment of the Court of Appeal for Ontario, Number COA-22-CR-0470, 2024 ONCA 511, dated June 27, 2024, heard on May 22, 2025, is dismissed.

L’appel interjeté par Sa Majesté le Roi contre l’arrêt de la Cour d’appel de l’Ontario, numéro COA-22-CR-0470, 2024 ONCA 511, daté du 27 juin 2024, entendu le 22 mai 2025, est accueilli et la déclaration de culpabilité pour tentative de meurtre est rétablie. Le juge en chef Wagner et les juges Karakatsanis et Moreau sont dissidents.
L’appel interjeté par B.F. contre l’arrêt de la Cour d’appel de l’Ontario, numéro COA-22-CR-0470, 2024 ONCA 511, daté du 27 juin 2024, entendu le 22 mai 2025, est rejeté.
