In this case, a judge disclosed information over which informer privilege is claimed to selected media counsel and media representatives so they could make submissions on whether proceedings brought by the Named Person should be heard in camera.
The issue on this appeal is whether the extradition judge erred by granting media counsel and media representatives access to information over which informer privilege is being asserted upon their entering into undertakings with respect to maintaining confidentiality.

Dans cette affaire, un juge a communiqué à certains avocats et représentants des médias des renseignements pour lesquels est revendiqué le privilège relatif aux indicateurs de police, afin qu'ils puissent formuler des observations quant à savoir si la demande présentée par la personne nommée devrait ou non être entendue à huis clos.
La question que pose le pourvoi est celle de savoir si le juge d'extradition a eu tort de donner aux avocats et aux représentants des médias l'accès à des renseignements pour lesquels est revendiqué le privilège relatif aux indicateurs de police moyennant l'engagement d'en préserver la confidentialité.
