Coram:              McLachlin C.J. and Bastarache, Binnie, LeBel, Deschamps, Fish, Abella, Charron and Rothstein JJ.

 

 

The appeal from the judgment of the British Columbia Supreme Court,  2006 BCSC 1805, heard on April 24, 2007, is allowed and the Extradition Judge’s order granting disclosure to selected media representatives and their counsel is set aside.  LeBel J. is dissenting in part.

 

 

 

L’appel interjeté contre le jugement de la Cour suprême de la Colombie-Britannique, 2006 BCSC 1805, entendu le 24 avril 2007, est accueilli et l’ordonnance du juge d’extradition accordant la communication de renseignements à certains représentants des médias et à leurs avocats est annulée.  Le juge LeBel est dissident en partie.
